“Getting to know you” with Kelly @ Live Laugh Rowe

Blogging for me has been a great way to grow as an individual, do something I love and meet new friends, people who have helped me grow, inspired me and have learnt me many things along the way.

Most of them live across the seas in the US, but that’s what makes blogging so great, location doesn’t matter it’s the friendship that you can grow that does…

That being said, I have invited some of my favourite blogger friends and blogs that I have followed since I first started out, as part of a new mini series ” getting to know you”

First of Kelly @ Live, Laugh Rowe

Hello friends! I’m super exited that Claire has asked me to stop by for a visit with all of you. I’m Kelly and I blog over at www.livelaughrowe.com, a lifestyle blog where I share my journey with you — one that includes crafting, cooking, my furry friends, incredible husband and my faith. Prior to my blogging adventures, I was a Director of Admissions in Higher Education. I {loved} my job, but thestress wasn’t contributing to any quality of life. So, for the time being, here I am blogging. I love every minute of it and have so much to be thankful for in regards to its success over the past year. I truly have a fabulous community of readers. I also own a shop on Etsy called House 129 (www.house129.etsy.com) where I sell some fun vintage inspired pieces and a little this and that. I’d be tickled silly if you stopped by and said hello. Okay, let’s get to the getting to know me portion that Claire has asked me to share… Enjoy!

Getting to know me

What is one goal you’d like to accomplish during your lifetime? Oh my. To pinpoint one thing is very difficult. I’ve had so many fabulous accomplishments in my life. I think if I could ever Master Contentment, that would be a monumental victory. I’m always wanting to improve something, change this, fix that, lose weight, etc. To wake up each day with the sense of perfect contentment would be glorious; however, it seems practically impossible. That might just be the engrained perfectionism.

What’s your favorite thing to do in the summer? Stay indoors! {giggle}. If the heat is extreme, I don’t even like to leave the house. If the temps are bearable, I do love sitting on our deck, taking walks and laying by the pool.

If you were an ice cream flavor, which one would you be and why? The first one to come to mind is Heavenly Hash. Being that there is marshmallow and peanuts, it’s almost as if each bite is a surprise. Kind of making it a fun ice cream to eat. Will it be just a spoonful of chocolate or will there be a crunchy peanut covered in marshmallow? Silly, I know. I see myself as the one you just never know what she’s going to do next… Unpredictable, but fun. However, I {love, love, love} Peanut Butter and Chocolate ice cream… I just thinks it way too predictable! Smile!

If you could visit any place in the world, where would you choose to go and why? I’ve always wanted to go to Africa on a Missions Trip. I went to bible college and seeing so much of the poverty and starvation really tugged at my heart. Of course I would want to squeeze in a Safari too. If I could go anywhere for vacation, it would be Bora Bora! It looks amazing and I can’t imagine feeling anything other than pure bliss there!

If you had to describe yourself using three words, it would be… Determined, Fun, Stubborn,
