Fabric bookmark tutorial

Fabric bookmark tutorial:

I have a really quick and fun tutorial for you today :)

These bookmarks make a great gift and are perfect for using those fabric scraps up too…

You will need :

Fabric or ribbon

Elastic

Pins

Sewing machine

Scissors

Book to use as a template .

Fabric bookmark

To start, use the book to measure how much elastic you will need.

Pin to hold in place, sew in place.

Fold over the edge of your ribbon/fabric and start to to create a ruffle effect by folding loops in the ribbon/fabric and sewing in place.

Make sure you back stitch at the start and end of the ribbon/fabric to secure it in place !

That’s it finished ..

Fabric bookmark

You could add buttons or other embellishments to create something unique ..
